
Lena MacEwen, PE
Director of Engineering
Lena MacEwen is Loadmaster Industries’ Director of Engineering. She has been with Loadmaster for over 19 years and has over 25 years of engineering experience in private, public and energy-related industries. After receiving her Master’s degree in Civil Engineering, MacEwen’s career began in the private industry sector performing structural and hydraulic designs at Water King, Inc. in Louisiana. Furthering her career, she went back to the academic sector to work for the UL Lafayette Institute for Coastal & Water Research and UL Civil Engineering Department, where she participated in various coastal restoration and water management studies and became a published academic researcher. She began her tenure at Loadmaster as a Design Engineer, designing and testing onshore and offshore steel drilling structures. Over the years, she expanded her responsibilities by performing engineering project management and providing training for Loadmaster’s in-house civil and mechanical engineers. Today, MacEwen leads our engineering and drafting department, manages contracts and strategizes for Loadmaster’s growth.
MacEwen holds a Master’s degree in Civil Engineering from the University of Louisiana at Lafayette and a Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering from the University of Civil Engineering, Architecture, and Geodesy in Bulgaria. She is a licensed professional engineer in the State of Louisiana and a professional member of AISC (American Institute of Steel Construction). In her free time, she loves traveling the world and meeting new people. She also enjoys spending time with her family and cheering on her kids at their soccer games.
